    The Course

    The Koh Phangan IDC is made up of two parts. First of all starting with the Assistant Instructor Course and also the Open Water Scuba Instructor Program. Finally to complete the IDC, attend an Instructor Examination (IE). This is then the final step in becoming a PADI Instructor.

    The PADI Instructor Development Course Koh Phangan teaches you to conduct all PADI core courses. How to organise and present information, conduct skill development and control open water dives. As a result, become a better public speaker. Likewise, excellent at demonstrating skills while watching out for diver safety. Key topics include:

    • PADI Standards and Procedures for courses you can teach with in water workshops.
    • Learning, Instruction and the PADI System.
    • Risk Management and Diver Safety.
    • The Business of Diving and your role as an instructor.
    • Marketing Diving and Sales Counselling.
    • PADI Instructor Development Course Koh Phangan Includes
    • Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI).
    • Exclusive seminar series, resume writing and dive theory demystified.
    • Profiting from a dive travel program.
    • Workshops; lift bag use, ascents and descents for the Open Water Course.
    • Conducting Discover Scuba Diving.
    • Knot tying essentials.

    Course Options

    The course runs for 14 days. Some divers prefer to stay longer in Koh Phangan so therefore we also offer Internships.

    Prerequisites

    First of all to signup to this course you must have been a certified PADI Divemaster for at least six months. Furthermore you’ll also need:

    • At least 60 logged dives and 100 dives to attend an IE.
    • Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care training within the past 24 months.
    • A medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.


    **Breakfast, lunch, refreshments are not included for classroom/pool days.**
